‘A sickening act in opposition to a defenceless animal’: attacked horse left to ‘bleed to demise’

  • A horse has been discovered lifeless in its area in Cornwall, as the results of what police consider is a deliberate act.

    It has been reported that the horse’s throat was lower, and that it bled to demise; Devon and Cornwall Police have appealed for data as they examine the demise of the horse, on land close to Gorran Haven on the south coast of the county this week.



    “Police have been notified following stories a horse had been discovered deceased on land close to Gorran Haven in what’s believed to be a deliberate act,” a spokesman for the pressure stated.

    “It seems the horse died a while between 5.38pm, when it was final checked on, and 8pm on Tuesday, 5 March.”

    A spokesman for the RSPCA stated: “It is a sickening assault in opposition to a defenceless animal and we’d additionally urge anybody with details about what occurred to share this to assist the investigation.”

    Officers are investigating the incident, the Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman added, and have requested anybody who could have seen anyone “performing suspiciously” within the space, or who has related CCTV or another data, to name 101 or report it on-line, quoting crime reference 50240054133.
